Bavarian Caps GmbH is committed to making the Heronox brand's online shop, www.heronox.com, accessible to everyone. We adhere to the requirements of the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG) and its associated ordinance (BFSGV). This statement refers to the website www.heronox.com.

Accessibility status of this website

Currently, our website is not fully accessible. Several limitations still exist, which we will address gradually. Implementation will take into account economic and technical feasibility as defined in Section 13 of the BFSG.

Description of our product range

Our online shop offers fashion and accessories – our own collections as well as collaborations with partners. Accessibility Deficits: Based on tests, the following barriers were identified that currently still exist and do not meet the requirements of EN 301 549: Lists sometimes contain elements that do not formally belong to a list and are therefore not read aloud correctly. ARIA IDs are assigned multiple times on some pages, which can lead to malfunctions in screen readers. Some interactive controls have names that do not match their visible labels, which makes voice control difficult. In some cases, links are not clearly recognizable as such or are indistinguishable from the surrounding text. On some pages, interactive elements are simultaneously focusable and marked as ariahidden – leading to inconsistencies for screen readers. Many pages lack content structuring through appropriate subordinate HTML elements. In isolated cases, tables are not semantically correctly marked up, e.g., B. without the assignment of header and data cells.

  • Invalid or faulty ARIA attributes occur on various pages and prevent correct output in assistive technologies.
  • Individual headings are not correctly marked up or have the ariahidden attribute, making them inaccessible to screen readers.
  • Numerous buttons are included without textual or symbolic labels and are therefore not recognizable by screen readers.
  • On several pages, form fields lack their corresponding labels, which hinders screen reader users.
  • In some cases, the default language of the page is not correctly specified in the HTML.
  • Some pages contain iframe elements without accessible labels.
  • On some pages, a clearly defined page title is missing in the HTML header.
  • On numerous pages, the contrast between text and background is insufficient, which impairs readability.
  • A few pages contain links without meaningful link text, which hinders navigation for assistive technologies.
  • On many pages, images are embedded without alternative text. This makes it difficult to use with screen readers.
  • Some color contrasts and text sizes are insufficient.
  • PDF documents are currently not prepared in an accessible format.
  • Keyboard navigation of the site is currently limited.
  • Numerous product images are still embedded without alternative text.
